CSCA strives to assure that climate science is properly done, fairly reported, and well understood by the American people. The mission of the Climate Science Coalition of America is to:

• serve as a US-based source for credible, accurate, non-prejudiced facts regarding the current and developing understanding in the various fields of scientific endeavor that comprise “climate science;"
• provide materials for education of the American people of all ages regarding climate science;
• encourage the public to seek out information from multiple sources regarding the causes, uncertainties and scientific discoveries associated with climate change;
• promote the on-going honest and open scientific debate on causes of climate change; and
• encourage public funding of continued scientific investigation, especially with regard to specific topical areas in which data gaps and apparent uncertainties limit our understanding.
